Rockdale County is one of the fastest growing, most vibrant communities in the state of Georgia.  In Rockdale Medical Center, your community has a full-service, state-of-the-art hospital of which you can be proud. 

Our goal at Signature Hospital Corporation is to partner with the hospital employees, physicians and community members to help Rockdale Medical Center reach its full potential. 

Signature is committed to investing in Rockdale Medical Center and in the community. With more than 200 years of hospital management experience and solid financial backing, we bring the expertise and stability that the hospital needs to flourish.

On the other hand, we also understand that healthcare is local and each hospital is unique, which is why we will partner with and rely on local leadership to strengthen Rockdale Medical Center.

Specifically; our commitment to RMC will result in:

  • A purchase price of approximately $90 million. The final figure will be determined at the time the transaction is concluded, which will follow the approval of state officials. (With these proceeds, the Hospital Authority and the Medical Center will pay off its debt.)
  • The Hospital Authority will keep the principal of those funds intact for at least seven years after the sale, so that it can exercie its right of first refusal if the hopsital should come up for sale during that time.
  • The lease between the Hospital Authority and Rockdale Medical Center, Inc. will be terminated and all funds remaining after the sale -- after payment of all debt and expenses – will be held by the Hospital Authority and used for charitable healthcare services throughout Rockdale County.
